NOTICE:
Grandmaster Bobby Taboada will be teaching his system of Filipino Martial Arts: Balintawak Arnis Cuentada, for all interested participants. No experience necessary and all levels and systems are welcome!
Who can attend?
Anyone interested can attend. If testing, you are welcome to bring family and friends as spectators as the testing time approaches.
Is this seminar exclusive?
No, this seminar is open to anyone with a ticket.
I don’t have a background in martial arts or FMA, can I join?
Absolutely! We welcome all training backgrounds and experience levels.
What will the day look like?
We will begin training at 9 AM after sign-ins are complete. Lunch is included on site at about noon, with training resuming around 1 PM. Testing will commence around 3:45 PM. Observing the tests under the watchful supervision of grandmaster Bobby Taboada is a great opportunity to learn for practitioners, and is an official part of the seminar. In addition to GM Bobby Taboada, different instructors within the Balintawak Cuentada System will share their own techniques and training methods. The agenda may be slightly modified on the day of the event.
What should I expect?
Expect a fun, positive, and interactive environment. We encourage participants to practice with different partners to maximize the experience. This is also common from past seminars with GM Bobby. People are nice and welcoming, and you are encouraged to talk with someone you don’t know if you are comfortable. Have fun and try to absorb what will be helpful to you.
What should I wear or bring?
Wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind working out and sweating in. If you have your own sticks, please bring them. If not, contact us for further details. We also recommend bringing a change of clothes and a towel. Water is provided on site but it may also be good to also bring your own bottle in case demand is high. Don’t forget to bring extra t-shirts if needed.
